Community

Lough Gur has a particularly vibrant community which has Lough Gur national school, the Honey Fitz theatre and Patrickswell church at its hub.  There are a number of volunteer organisations in the locality from the development co-operative to the drama group, from the graveyard committee to the parents association at the national school.  Each year at the summer solstice festival, volunteers are immediately available to help ensure a fun, community day for all locals and visitors to the area
