Open Community Meeting

Thank you to all who attended the community meeting/workshop held at the Honey Fitz on Sunday evening 15th January. Approximately 40 people actively participated in discussions to help identify and prioritise areas and initiatives for the community to progress in 2012.

Last year 5 committees were established to progress identified issues, and at Sunday night’s meeting a progress report was given on work achieved in 2011 by each committee. The meeting then identified a number of key priority areas and initiatives for 2012 which are set out below.

This newsletter is the first of these initiatives – YOU identified that you wanted a free newsletter. This can only be possible if it is emailed to you – so if you would like to receive information of what’s happening in Lough Gur on a monthly basis please email loughgur@gmail.com and we will include you on our database. Some copies will also be available in the church/the Honey Fitz/through the school and at Peggy’s shop in Holycross.

Should anyone wish to make comments, include additional ideas or would like to get involved in any of the initiatives outlined please email loughgur@gmail.com   or contact (061) 385386 mobile: 087 285 2022.
