Sunday guided walks have recommenced on Sunday mornings at Lough Gur. Meet at the Heritage centre at 11am.Outside of these times, Lough Gur guides can faciliate you or your group with an experienced guide, at a time and day that suits you. Usually only two days notice is required.

We offer a guided tours of Lough Gur and the Stone Circle. Usually we ask people to assemble at the lakefront at Lough Gur and there is a choice of a walking or driving tour.  Both tours last about two hours and both equally fascinating!

Celebrate National Heritage week at Lough Gur Sunday August 26th

Celebrate National Heritage week August 18th to 26th 2012. Assemble at the steps to the Heritage centre at Lough Gur on Sunday August 26th at 11am for a guided walk visiting the Spectacles, Carraigcrothera, reference to The Farm by Lough Gur, Bolin Island, Ash Point, Bourchier's Castle, Carraig Aille Stone Forts and Circles O & P. This walk will be facilitated by an experienced guide and is free of charge.

Experienced guides will enthral and enchant with folklore and stories with an occasional actor thrown in!   All our guides provide their services voluntarily and are passionate about the history of Lough Gur.
