Santa is set to return to Lough Gur Santa this Christmas. Visits will take place on the following weekend dates:

  •  25th & 26th November
  • 2nd & 3rd December (Sensory Morning will happen on Saturday 2nd Dec at 9.00am – 11.00am )
  • 9 & 10th December
  • 16th & 17th of December.

What to Expect on Your Visit?

A visit to Santa at Lough Gur starts when you arrive to register at Santa’s winter retreat at Lough Gur’s Heritage Centre.  Here you will get to meet Mrs Claus, and her helpers and have an opportunity to take some photos, see her beautiful kitchen and maybe even get to hear some funny stories of Santa.

Each child will then meet Santa himself where they will be enthralled by stories and chat. You can be sure that he will pass the beard-pulling test as he is, of course the real deal as verified by our younger visitors from previous years.  Every child will receive a gift from Santa before they leave.

Complimentary Tea/coffee with mince pies for the adults and hot chocolate and cookies for the younger visitors will be served during your visit in the Heritage Centre.

When your visit to Santa is over you will have time to enjoy the other magical aspects of Lough Gur including Santa’s sleigh where you can sit and look out over Lough Gur Lake, it is the perfect place for a photo opportunity.  You will also get to visit the playground (weather permitting).  The playground will be open exclusively for Santa’s special guests.

If you do want a stress free, traditional Santa visit then this is the option for you.  All proceeds from the event go to Lough Gur Development. A non-profit community organisation working to preserve and protect the area of Lough Gur. All children must be supervised at all times.
