Experience the magic of midsummer at Lough Gur, one of Ireland’s most sacred and storied landscapes. Join us on Saturday, June 21st and Sunday, June 22nd, 2025, for a celebration of the Summer Solstice , a time when nature, myth, and community come together in the light of the longest days of the year.

Why the Summer Solstice Matters at Lough Gur

Lough Gur, located in County Limerick, is home to Grange Stone Circle, Ireland’s largest and one of its most astronomically significant. The site is aligned with the rising sun during the summer solstice, a tradition that dates back over 5,000 years. It’s here that ancient communities once gathered to honour the sun — and today, that spirit lives on.

Whether you’re drawn by history, nature, or spiritual reflection, Lough Gur is a powerful place to experience the solstice in Ireland.
